Position Summary
The Procurement Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing Metrea’s procurement operations. This position involves leading a team of procurement professionals to ensure the timely and efficient acquisition of materials, aircraft parts, components, supplies, and services. This role will work closely with sourcing, maintaining, and managing vendor relationships. The Procurement Manager ensures that all procurement activities are conducted in strict accordance with company policies, contract specifications, and federal acquisition regulations.

Essential Functions and Competency Statements
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order delivery and execution.
- Ensure precise and timely processing of all purchase orders while retaining necessary documentation per company policies.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key partners, including suppliers and customers, to enhance procurement outcomes.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance to ensure compliance with company policies and accuracy in procurement practices.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain while developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
- Use data analysis to support decision-making and strategy development.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the procurement team which includes conducting performance evaluations.
- Address and resolve procurement discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure that procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, for briefings and presentations.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Excels at resolving complex challenges with a strategic and thoughtful approach.
- Ensures high quality and precision in task execution while working independently

This role has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in an office setting using standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities will be required.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time / Hybrid position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.

Travel requirements are up to 20%.
Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education:
- Associate degree
- 7 years’ work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Experience:
- 5 years of procurement and supply chain management.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 5 years of Aviation procurement and supply chain management.
- Experience in government contract procurement
- Experience in CPSR Government procurement requirements.
- Experience with Veryon or similar platform.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.
- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization
