Position Summary
The Logistics Intern supports Head of Logistics by assisting with key logistics operations and supply chain activities. This role offers the intern hands-on experience in real-world logistics processes, such as shipment tracking, documentation management, and collaboration with internal teams. The ideal candidate is eager to contribute to improving delivery efficiency and supporting smooth import/export operations.
Essential Functions and Competency Statements
As a Logistics Intern, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with logistics operations, such as organizing shipments and delivery schedules.
- Helping maintain relationships with logistics partners for domestic and international transport.
- Reviewing rates & billing invoices.
- Supporting efforts to improve shipping routes and delivery times.
- Keeping track of shipment statuses and preparing reports about logistics activities.
- Collaborating with other teams like Inventory and Procurement to ensure smooth operations.
- Helping to manage basic import/export documentation, like invoices and customs forms.
- Learning about trade regulations and ensuring compliance with shipping rules.
- Assisting with reviewing rates and contracts from shipping companies.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment
This role operates in an office setting using standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities will be required.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time job of 29 hours per week carried out from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change by department and business needs.

Required Education and Certificates
- High School Degree;
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college with a major in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or Data Analysis
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with minimal assistance.
- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization
- Employee must be able to work legally in the US.
