The Logistics Specialist II role is tasked with optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of all corporate materials, aviation parts, ground support equipment, tools, and commercial products. This role focuses on executing and enhancing the shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes to ensure efficient and accurate logistics operations.

This role operates in a diverse environment that includes an office setting using standard office equipment, as well as a warehouse setting with various weather and temperature conditions.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities will be required.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a contractor position with standard working hours typically from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and shifts may vary depending on project requirements and business needs. Contractors may be expected to be on-call or available outside of regular hours as needed to meet business demands.

Essential Functions And Competency Statements
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying their contents against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Unpack and organize received items, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Prepare and process both inbound and outbound shipments, including tasks such as packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate the transportation for outgoing shipments, ensuring optimal routing and timely dispatch.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, customs documentation, and other relevant paperwork per company policies.
- Track inventory movements, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate records to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Support the management and disposition of Government Furnished Equipment based on company policies and procedures.
- In conjunction with Global Trade Compliance, execute the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and facilitating prompt delivery via DoD and commercial freight or express methods.
- Address and resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Excels at resolving complex challenges with a strategic and thoughtful approach.
- Ensures high quality and precision in task execution while working independently.

Required Education, Experience And Certificates
Education
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years of logistics and supply chain management.
Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Education: Associates Degree
- Experience: 2 years of Aviation logistics and supply chain management.
- Government Contract Experience
- Experience in International Shipping
- Experience with Veryon or similar platform.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365
- Valid Driver's License
- Forklift Operator
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.
- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
- Employee must be able to work legally in the US.
