Role Overview
We are seeking an Analytical Chemist with expertise in HPLC, GC-MS, and FTIR to analyze plant metabolites, particularly flavonoids and lipids, supporting the Galy cocoa project. This role focuses on developing and optimizing analytical methods for compound extraction, troubleshooting analytical instrumentation, and establishing downstream processing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HPLC, GC-MS, and FTIR to analyze and quantify plant metabolites, including flavonoids and lipids.
- Develop and validate analytical protocols for plant compound extraction and characterization.
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and optimize efficiency in compound isolation and quantification.
- Establish downstream processing methods for metabolite extraction and purification.
- Conduct equipment diagnostics and run analyses to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate analytical findings into process improvements.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3 years of industry experience (biotech, food science, natural products, or related).
- Expertise in HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR, and mass spectrometry for plant metabolite analysis.
- Strong background in assay development, flavonoid extraction, and lipid analysis.
- Experience with GMP, GLP, and regulatory compliance.
