Metric Bio is thrilled to announce a partnership with a leading healthcare organization in the search for a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Supervisor. This role involves overseeing, directing, and coordinating the operations of a clinical diagnostic lab. The ideal candidate will possess patience, empathy, strong time management skills, and professionalism when working with superiors, peers, subordinates, and healthcare providers.
MUST BE FLORIDA LICENSED IN HIGH COMPLEXITY CLINICAL CHEMISTRY (ELISA) AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (PCR)
Responsibilities
- Perform high-complexity PCR and ELISA runs, analyze data, and generate technical reports in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Assist in laboratory test validation studies.
- Supervise and provide leadership to all laboratory staff.
- Conduct competency assessments for laboratory personnel.
- Oversee all logistical processes and functions within the lab.
- Assist in developing and implementing goals, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ensure timely updates and review of Quality Assurance program documentation in collaboration with the Lab Director.
- Monitor and manage sample volume and inventory, ensuring alignment with available capacity.
- Collaborate with clients and laboratory staff to maintain high-quality patient care and services.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Meet and exceed quality and efficiency benchmarks.
- Lead the implementation and management of new policies and procedures.
- Participate in routine laboratory tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with high-complexity chemistry and molecular assays in a CLIA-certified laboratory.
- 1 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of CLIA, COLA, and CAP regulations.
- Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods without rest.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently.
