What are the responsibilities and job description for the CEI Resident Compliance Specialist position at Metric Engineering?
Metric Engineering is seeking a qualified CEI Resident Compliance Specialist to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in North Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a passion for ensuring compliance on state and federally funded construction projects.
ABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to: Analyze, collect, evaluate data, and take appropriate action when necessary
- Responsible for: Attending all training workshops or meetings for Resident Compliance Specialists
- Oversee the OJT program for D3 to include reviewing and processing all incoming OJT documents, scheduling and conducting the Training Evaluation Meeting, fielding questions about OJT from either RCS or Contractors
- Assist in conducting Contractor Compliance Reviews to include scheduling the review, process incoming material submission, conduct the Review meeting in conjunction with the DCCM.
- Perform Prompt Pay Audits.
- Perform Subcontract Audits.
- Participate as an instructor in all D3 led trainings
- Position will report to the District Contract Compliance Manager at the FDOT 3 District Office
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year of experience as a Resident Compliance Specialist on a construction project
OR
Two (2) years of assisting the Resident Compliance Specialist in monitoring the project
Prior experience in both State and Federal Aid funded construction projects with FDOT and knowledge of EEO/AA laws and FDOT’s DBE and OJT programs
