Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and highly organized Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in managing commercial and multi-family construction projects in Savannah, GA. This role involves overseeing daily site activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety compliance, and keeping projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Coordination: Assist in managing daily construction activities, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Schedule Management: Work closely with the Superintendent to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring subcontractors meet deadlines.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets company standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
- Safety Enforcement: Monitor job sites for compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in commercial or multi-family construction, preferably in a supervisory or coordination role.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) is preferred.
