My client is a growing cost estimating, condition assessment and project management consulting firm, led by industry veterans with a first-class reputation for providing independent, practical and actionable advice to our clients.
We are seeking a mid-level, motivated Cost Manager with minimum 5 years’
experience in the industry, ideally spanning several sectors such as hospitality, commercial, education and government.
Our consultants provide our clients with a well-rounded skill set that includes cost estimating, bid analysis, change order management, life-cycle costs analysis, contractual interpretation
and positioning, value management and all other commercial construction aspects. This is an

The specific duties for the position include the following, at minimum (either in support of a senior staff member or ultimately as manager of the project/client):
- Cost estimating at all stages of a project life-cycle – feasibility, concept, through the various design stages to pre-bid, detailed estimates with labor, material and equipment breakdowns
- Change order review & analysis
- Deep knowledge of architectural, structural and civil disciplines, with ideally a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Bid analysis
- Monthly payment applications from general contractors
- Life-cycle cost analysis and other economic studies
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quantity surveying/construction management/engineering or architecture, with the following specific requirements:
- 5 years’ cost management or related experience on medium to large-scale construction projects
- Bachelors’ or higher degree in a construction related discipline
- AACEi credential such as CCT, CCP or CEP is beneficial but not mandatory
- Communication and organization skills
- Ability to effectively plan, manage time and problem solve
- Capacity to work in a team setting with minimal supervision or direction
- Experience in writing business documents, such as technical reports
- Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with estimating and take-off software including but not limited to BlueBeam, OST,
- Second Generation MCASES (MII), PACES and CostWorks is beneficial, but training will be provided as necessary.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
