What are the responsibilities and job description for the Division President position at Metric Geo?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute action plans to achieve the Strategic Plan, ensuring timely completion. Gather feedback and recommend adjustments to the Board as necessary.
- Secure a sufficient land supply for homebuilding operations, working with both internal and external developers.
- Partner with the Construction Manager(s) and Purchasing Department to establish a reliable, qualified subcontractor base that meets company standards for quality, insurance, reliability, and cost.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and compensation of new Associates to align with company policies, ensuring staffing levels and quality meet annual and strategic goals.
- Set the direction and goals for the division, providing leadership through vision, expertise, and resources necessary to achieve success.
- Collaborate with the Director of Architecture and Director of Marketing to define the target market and product offerings for each community.
- Direct construction operations by establishing and implementing standards in quality, scheduling, safety, cost control, and cost management, as defined by the President and COO.
- Lead the sales operation through the sales leader, ensuring effective follow-up and customer satisfaction to meet company commitments.
- Oversee the development of new community theming, including marketing materials, model homes, amenities, signage, landscaping, and recreational facilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including leadership in a similar role at a homebuilder with 550 closings per year.
- Willingness to relocate or reside in the southeast United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience in land operations, land development, or residential construction.
- Proven experience leading teams and developing talent.
