GIS Analyst – Major Transportation Program
Location: Greater Orlando, Florida
A prominent firm specializing in large-scale transportation projects is seeking a GIS Analyst to join their team on a high-impact program in Florida. This role will focus on utilizing GIS technology to support critical program initiatives, including data analysis, mapping, and geospatial data management, while contributing to the success of this multi-year infrastructure program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support geospatial analysis and mapping for large transportation projects.
- Use ArcGIS Desktop, Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise to analyze and manage geospatial data.
- Assist with the development of custom GIS solutions using ArcGIS extensions, including 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, and ModelBuilder.
- Configure and manage ArcGIS Online environments, including tools such as WebAppBuilder, Survey123, and StoryMaps.
- Create and maintain maps, geodatabases, and spatial data to inform project decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate GIS into the overall project planning and execution processes.
- Support field data collection using mobile GIS applications like ArcGIS Collector and Field Apps.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of practical GIS experience, preferably in the consulting or infrastructure sector.
- Proficient in using ArcGIS Desktop, Pro, and various ESRI tools and extensions.
- Solid understanding of GIS, CAD, and Database technologies.
- Experience working with GIS in the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Server/Portal) environment.
- Basic knowledge of Python scripting and ModelBuilder for GIS automation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GIS Certification (GISP) or Technical GIS Software Certification.
- Experience administering multiuser geodatabases with replica management.
- Drone experience or Remote Pilot Rating for sUAS commercial operations.
