Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
- Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Perform site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any mechanical system-related issues during construction phases.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in mechanical engineering practices, and apply them to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC systems design for MEP projects.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome complex engineering challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
