Job Description:
We are representing one of the top general contractors in the industry seeking a Senior Scheduler to join a rapidly growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Scheduler to work with a leading general contractor on complex, high-value construction projects. As a key player in the project team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing construction schedules, ensuring seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Development & Management:
- Create, update, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
- Develop baseline schedules, integrate subcontractor schedules, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure the feasibility of project timelines.
Project Monitoring & Risk Analysis:
- Track project progress and proactively identify schedule risks & delays.
- Perform critical path analysis and recommend adjustments to mitigate potential issues.
- Provide real-time updates and strategic solutions to senior leadership.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, and stakeholders to ensure schedule adherence.
- Conduct weekly/monthly schedule reviews, issue reports, and facilitate scheduling meetings.
- Provide support for claims analysis and delay mitigation when required.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate detailed reports, including look-ahead schedules, variance reports, and impact analysis.
- Ensure compliance with project contracts, industry best practices, and company standards.
- Maintain documentation for schedule audits, extensions of time (EOT), and forensic scheduling.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in scheduling within the general contracting or construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other scheduling tools.
- Experience managing schedules for commercial, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- In-depth understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), resource management, and sequencing.
- Ability to analyze subcontractor schedules for accuracy and risk mitigation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with claims analysis, forensic scheduling, and dispute resolution is a plus!
- PMP, PSP, or other scheduling certifications are highly desirable.
