Metrics LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Acquisition Support Specialist to support our contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). This role requires experience in federal acquisitions, procurement processes, and SharePoint management, along with strong organizational and administrative skills. The position is hybrid, with the possibility of future on-site requirements in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and acquisition-related support to ensure smooth contract and procurement operations.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and tracking procurement documents, contracts, and acquisition records.
- Maintain and manage SharePoint sites, ensuring proper document organization, version control, and accessibility.
- Track contract milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with acquisition timelines.
- Organize and maintain acquisition-related records, reports, and documentation for easy retrieval.
- Conduct data entry, analysis, and reporting to support acquisition decision-making.
- Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
- Develop presentations, correspondence, and other business documents as needed.
- Assist with process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency in acquisition operations.
- Perform other administrative and acquisition-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 2-4 years of experience in acquisitions, procurement, or a related role within a federal contracting environment.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and workflow automation.
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and government procurement procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in administrative support, document control, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience supporting federal agencies, particularly the VA.
- Familiarity with government contract writing and management systems.
- Experience with acquisition policy research and compliance tracking.
- Project coordination or junior project management experience.
