Metrics LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Modeler to join our efforts as we compete for a contract to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA) Informatics and Program/Project Support (IPPS). This role is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining VAAA’s web pages and SharePoint sites, ensuring they are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the Academy’s mission to build a "best in class" acquisition workforce. As a Web Designer, you will play a vital part in achieving the Academy’s goals of operational excellence and innovative technology by creating intuitive, visually appealing, and functional web solutions.
Work will be performed primarily at the VAAA facility in Frederick, MD.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the VAAA’s web pages and SharePoint sites to ensure they are visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly.
- Ensure all web-based systems comply with Section 508 accessibility standards to support usability for individuals with disabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into design concepts and prototypes.
- Regularly update and maintain existing web content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Conduct usability testing to improve user experience and implement necessary changes.
- Provide technical support for web-related issues, troubleshooting, and resolving problems as they arise.
- Create and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), for web-related processes and systems.
- Work closely with data analysts and programmers to integrate data visualization tools such as Tableau into the web design.
- Support the development of training materials and facilitate training sessions on web-related tools and platforms.
- Monitor and maintain the security and performance of web-based systems, adhering to organizational security and privacy requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 4 years of experience in web design and development
- Proficiency in web design tools and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and experience implementing them in web design.
- Experience conducting usability testing and implementing user feedback.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
