The Warehouse Supervisor needs to be available for all shifts (for coverage if needed). Scheduled shift will be:
- Shift: Thursday – Saturday
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
What You’ll Do
The Warehouse Supervisor - Retail is responsible for all day-to-day operations for US Retail, located in the Kansas City, MO Distribution Center during any of the shifts. It is the Warehouse Supervisor's obligation to enforce standard operating procedures, as well as Metrie’s policies and procedures as they may pertain to safety and working efficiencies.
As our Warehouse Supervisor- Retail, we need your in-depth knowledge of operations, customer focus, and sound business acumen to:
- Create and maintain a safe workplace for all employees
- Coordinate and allocate warehouse personnel on a daily and weekly basis according to the shifting needs of the business
- Partner with the Transport Coordinator, to ensure all aspects of freight and shipping are optimized. Where and when required, act as the Transport Coordinator
- Flexibility with being available for any of our 2 shifts
- Contribute/active member of the branch Lean committee. Institute operational best practices and reduce process variance and costs by driving continuous improvement through Lean activities
- Maintain operational KPIs daily, weekly, and monthly
Who You Are
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- 5 or more years supervisory experience or similar in a distribution warehouse environment
- Track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Track record of successfully collaborating with team members & customers
- Experience with SAP and MS Office (Excel & Word)
- Strong knowledge of the residential construction industry
- Experience collaborating with various areas within an organization
- Lean experience and credentials (e.g., Yellow belt)
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- A “Can Do” attitude and approach
- Love to learn. You are passionate about growing your knowledge and skills and being the best you can be
