In this role, you will perform specialized tasks related to CT scans, operating CT scanners and associated equipment while following strict radiation safety protocols. This is an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a supportive and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully position patients for CT scans, utilizing immobilization techniques and necessary protective measures.
- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including initiating IVs, administering contrast, and conducting interventional CT procedures.
- Assess CT scans for quality and ensure correct sequencing and labeling of images.
- Manage patient scheduling for CT procedures and perform associated clerical tasks.
- Document procedure charges accurately and manage the dispensing of oral contrast to patients.
- Operate power injectors for contrast media administration and maintain detailed patient records.
Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Registered Computed Tomographer (ARRT) is mandatory.
- A valid West Virginia license issued by the Board of Examiners of Radiologic Technologists is required.
- Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
