Position Overview
Our Award-Winning Client is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Cardiovascular Services (Nursing Magnet) to join the team at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center located in Mission Viejo, California. This position is full-time, scheduled for day shifts.

In this role, the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) functions as a clinical expert and change agent in cardiovascular services, providing advanced nursing knowledge to elevate patient care, mentor nursing teams, and lead quality initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing educational programs to enhance nursing competencies and technical skill sets
• Delivering both direct and indirect patient care utilizing evidence-based clinical practices
• Acting as a resource, consultant, and mentor in cardiovascular care across the nursing team
• Advocating for patient and family needs through personalized, holistic care strategies
• Leading quality improvement projects to improve patient outcomes and clinical effectiveness
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovation in cardiovascular treatments and patient care protocols
• Applying data-driven methodologies to evaluate and enhance patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California (required upon hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
• National Specialty Certification (to be obtained within three years of hire)
• Minimum of three (3) years of direct clinical experience in cardiovascular services
