Concrete Quality Control Technician

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the heavy highway construction industry, is seeking a Concrete Quality Control Technician to join their team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring quality control throughout the entire concrete production process, from raw materials to finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee quality control plans for concrete production in heavy highway construction.
- Conduct field and lab testing to ensure concrete meets project specifications.
- Oversee quality control on job sites, maintaining accurate records and reports regarding job site conditions, product performance, and driver operations.
- Work closely with dispatch, sales, engineers, and contractors to create and modify mix designs within cost parameters.
- Ensure job mix formulas are properly incorporated into plant operations.
- Compile and report final summaries of testing results for completed projects.
- Communicate regularly with customers, sales representatives, vendors, and engineers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
- 2 years of experience testing ready-mix concrete.
- A.C.I. Field Technician Grade 1 certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to work flexible hours (40 hours per week, with extended hours and occasional travel required).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in the Aggregates and/or Construction industry is a plus.
- Strong math skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy with the ability to generate reports and maintain records.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
