Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) – Full-Time Night Shift
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Testing
- Perform lung capacity assessments, blood gas analyses, and other diagnostic procedures with accuracy.
- Provide timely evaluations to support clinical decision-making.
Patient Education
- Educate patients on respiratory health, including tobacco cessation and disease management.
- Conduct bedside Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) and Electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Therapeutic Administration
- Administer prescribed respiratory treatments, monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Support patients in managing respiratory conditions effectively.
Policy Review
- Maintain and update respiratory care protocols to align with the latest evidence-based practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Emergency Response
- Respond swiftly to critical situations, including code calls, providing life-saving respiratory interventions.
- Demonstrate the ability to remain focused and composed under pressure.
Family Support
- Communicate care plans clearly to patients and their families, offering guidance on managing respiratory conditions.
- Connect families with community resources for continued support.
Equipment Management
- Maintain, calibrate, sterilize, and store respiratory equipment according to safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary.
Qualifications
Licensure:
- Active license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
Education:
- Completion of a CRT or RRT program (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Skills:
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision.
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Required within 60 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Required within 60 days of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP): Required within 90 days of hire.
