Responsibilities
Security & Compliance
- Prepare for and participate in security assessments and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Configure and secure operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX) per industry standards (NISPOM, DAAPM, JSIG, NIST, CCRI).
- Develop and maintain system authorization documentation in compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Network & System Management
- Manage security databases such as SIMS and eMASS.
- Design and maintain network architecture, including:
- Layer 3 to Layer 7 switching
- IP address schemes and EWAN configurations
- VMware NSX with micro-segmentation
- VoIP/VTC systems using Cisco Unified Call Manager
Risk & Incident Response
- Conduct vulnerability and compliance assessments to evaluate system security.
- Investigate anomalies, review audit logs, and resolve security incidents.
Training & Coordination
- Develop security policies and training materials to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with ISSMs and FSOs to stay aligned with evolving security requirements.
Qualifications
Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, OR
- Graduate degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR
- 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret.
Preferred
- Experience as an ISSM or ISSO with RMF.
- Knowledge of NISPOM, DAAPM, JSIG, and ICD standards.
- Relevant certifications such as Network , CCNA, CISSP, or RHCSA.
- 8570/8140 IAM Level 1 certification (e.g., Security ).
- At least 2 years of direct experience in information security or cyber intelligence.
- Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph preferred.
