About the Role:
Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the Aerospace and Defense industry, is seeking a Director of Program Finance to lead strategic financial planning and provide expert business management for their Broadband Communications Systems Sector. This high-impact position focuses on driving financial success, optimizing working capital, and supporting cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with program teams to evaluate Estimate at Completion (EAC) and identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive alignment on Monthly Financial Reports (MFR), Annual Operating Plans (AOP), and Strategic Plan (SP) objectives in partnership with FP&A leadership.
- Operational Leadership:
- Lead finance transformation projects and champion process improvements for increased efficiency and performance.
- Oversee working capital initiatives and contribute to achieving AOP and SP financial targets through collaboration with Operations and Program leaders.
- Financial Governance:
- Review and approve business proposals and quotes across divisions.
- Analyze International Financial Reporting (IFR) opportunities, ensuring preparation and alignment with financial goals.
- Supervise month-end close activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting in coordination with Controllers.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor finance staff, fostering a high-performing team environment.
- Evaluate team performance to ensure operational excellence and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Proposal Management:
- Analyze proposal cost and pricing data, ensuring compliance with financial and contractual standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of finance-related experience or a Graduate Degree with 13 years of experience.
- Total 19 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Expertise:
- 3 years in Indirect Cost and Rate Management.
- 5 years in senior finance leadership roles.
- Advanced Credentials:
- Master’s Degree in Finance or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Extensive familiarity with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Proficiency in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) specific to Aerospace and Defense.
- Contract Management Experience:
- Skilled in handling diverse contract types such as Fixed Price, Fixed Unit Rate, Cost Plus, and Time & Material.
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional analytical, business acumen, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
