Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical maintenance operations across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites, providing strategic direction to enhance asset reliability.
- Coach maintenance teams in identifying and resolving equipment abnormalities, driving a culture of preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
- Oversee the implementation of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to streamline maintenance tracking, spare parts inventory management, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) optimization.
- Establish and institutionalize Progressive Maintenance (PM) practices, promoting zero-breakdown objectives through planned maintenance governance.
- Develop and deploy strategies that improve maintenance processes, lower costs, and increase equipment performance.
- Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to enhance metrics such as unplanned downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, and Mean-Time-Between-Failures.
- Partner with HR to define criteria and testing protocols for recruiting and retaining highly skilled maintenance professionals.
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs to develop technical skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with internal experts to promote best practices and enhance maintenance efforts across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and company safety regulations.
- Travel as needed to various U.S. manufacturing sites.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (MBA or specialization in Maintenance Engineering, Project Management, or TPM/Lean is a plus).
- 10 years of experience in Maintenance and Engineering managerial roles within the FMCG industry.
- Proven expertise in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) with full PM implementation.
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP PM and SAP MM.
- Demonstrated success in leading maintenance teams in a union environment with exceptional results.
- Experience in plant maintenance leadership, continuous improvement, and asset reliability initiatives.
- Turnaround experience in maintenance management.
- Familiarity with OSHA and FDA regulations.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including project management and problem-solving skills.
