With a strong reputation for innovation, they are seeking experienced Digital Verification Engineers to support the verification of mission-critical radio communication systems.
Position Overview
The FPGA Verification Engineer will be responsible for testing and validating FPGA designs within an embedded systems environment. This position requires expertise in coverage-driven verification methodologies, System Verilog, and UVM test bench frameworks. The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, create verification plans, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct verification and validation of FPGA designs for embedded communication systems.
- Develop and implement verification test strategies based on system specifications.
- Create self-checking test environments using System Verilog to ensure design functionality.
- Develop test sequences, cover groups, predictors, and scoreboards for functional verification.
- Utilize directed and randomized test approaches to meet functional coverage targets.
- Collaborate with design engineers to enhance verification methodologies.
- Perform technical design reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish and validate design requirements.
- Maintain an active SECRET security clearance for project work.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, OR
- Master’s degree with at least four years of relevant experience, OR
- A minimum of ten years of FPGA/ASIC verification experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong troubleshooting skills for FPGA firmware and hardware issues.
- Experience with Ethernet protocols and packet processing.
- Understanding of cryptographic algorithms and embedded security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Mentor Graphics verification tools.
- Background in FPGA/ASIC RTL design.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (C , Java).
- Expertise in FPGA/ASIC verification using System Verilog.
- Familiarity with UVM/OVM methodologies.
- Experience with verification tools and functional coverage analysis.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, and Tcl.
- Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces including Ethernet, AXI, and SPI.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
