Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and community stakeholders on environmental issues.
- Conduct environmental audits, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee air quality reporting, permit renewals, and stack testing activities.
- Manage environmental monitoring systems and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Support waste-derived fuels system management and daily operations.
- Maintain compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and laws.
- Provide guidance to other facilities and assist regulatory agencies with necessary reporting.
- Maintain licenses and certifications, including Wastewater Facility Operator certifications and APC&EC Regulation compliance.
Qualifications & Skill
Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in environmental management, preferably in heavy industry (cement, mining, steel, etc.).
- Leadership experience managing teams in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring systems and reporting.
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and build relationships with regulatory agencies.
Preferred
- Certifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
