Salary Range: $109,000–$149,900 annually, with incentive bonuses based on experience, skills, and education.
Position Summary
As the Global Synthetic Process Technology Manager, you’ll lead technology initiatives for Our Client’s global synthetic spinning processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and drive operational efficiency across global facilities. This role includes managing a team of 2–4 process engineers while overseeing technology improvements from raw material acceptance to final product packaging.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
- Manage the Process Technology team, prioritizing projects, allocating technical resources, and managing budgets to align with business goals.
- Conduct biannual performance reviews and provide coaching for employee development.
Process Optimization:
- Optimize spunbond processes to improve equipment uptime, reduce costs, and enhance first-pass yields.
- Identify best practices for forming, drying, curing, and winding technologies and implement across global plants.
Project Management:
- Lead plant trials for new processes and equipment, including project documentation, coordination with operations, budget control, and equipment installation.
- Commercialize new technologies and process controls based on trial outcomes.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product Development teams to ensure process innovations align with product quality and performance standards.
- Partner with commercial and manufacturing teams to solve technical challenges.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols in plant operations and trials.
- Develop and enforce safe operating procedures for equipment and processes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement advanced technologies to improve Our Client’s manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and provide technical support to plant operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, or Material Science Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering and manufacturing management experience.
- Expertise in polymers, spunbond/spunlace, or synthetic nonwoven industries (or similar).
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching, team management, and project execution.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Proficiency in process optimization, manufacturing technology, and advanced process controls.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience in the Spunbond/Spunlace Carding industry.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes in synthetic or nonwoven industries.
- Budget management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
