Position Summary
The IT Manufacturing Project Leader will be responsible for managing critical IT systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role includes overseeing system integration, leading production support teams, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
IT Systems Management
- Oversee IT systems critical to manufacturing operations, including integration with HR functions like attendance and overtime tracking.
- Ensure smooth operation and support for manufacturing applications and their integration with enterprise-wide systems.
Team Leadership
- Lead deployment teams, production support, and offshore development resources.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers to onboard resources and manage deliverables effectively.
Project Management
- Create and manage budgets for capital projects, with detailed monthly expense forecasting.
- Ensure projects comply with standards such as ITAR, DFARS, SOX, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Facilitate B2B partnerships and lead EDI implementation projects.
Innovation and Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and measurable value creation.
- Align IT solutions with manufacturing business processes through deep process knowledge.
Compliance and Communication
- Conduct internal audits and support IT compliance initiatives.
- Regularly communicate project statuses to stakeholders and address escalations promptly.
- Drive high-impact solutions by inspiring cross-functional teams and addressing risks proactively.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.
- U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, Asylee, or Refugee (to meet ITAR compliance).
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills and Technical Proficiencies
- Advanced experience in IT systems supporting manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and tools like SQL Developer.
- Expertise in programming languages, including COBOL, VB.Net, C#, and Java.
- Familiarity with multiple project management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and IT solutions alignment.
- Knowledge of IT audit processes, SOX compliance, and quality management systems.
- Experience with HR operations in manufacturing settings.
- Proven ability to lead both onshore and offshore teams.
