Position Overview:
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing services, treatments, and procedures suitable for inmate care and safety.
- Interpret and execute physicians' orders, including administering prescribed medications.
- Assist physicians during sick calls and apply surgical dressings/bandages.
- Offer first aid care during emergencies and record vital signs.
- Monitor and report inmates' reactions to treatments, emotional/physical condition changes, and symptoms during sick calls (when a physician is unavailable).
- Educate inmates on discharge planning and healthcare.
- Supervise correctional staff on inmate health needs as required.
- Manage and order medical supplies and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Skills & Experience:
Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Clearance documents (BLS, TB, Driver’s License, Social Security Card) required during the review stage.
