Role Overview
As Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead all mechanical and facilities maintenance functions with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and safety. This hands-on leadership role involves developing strategic maintenance initiatives, managing teams and budgets, and driving continuous improvement across the plant.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct daily maintenance operations to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal equipment performance.
- Design and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance staff, while managing scheduling and performance reviews.
- Partner with safety teams to promote a Zero Incident culture through proactive risk management and compliance.
- Oversee vendor management, contractor coordination, and procurement of parts and supplies.
- Lead capital improvement projects and collaborate on plant expansions and new system installations.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices, including Kaizen, TPM, and root cause analysis initiatives.
- Monitor maintenance spending, enforce cost control, and manage departmental budgets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical system issues to reduce downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience managing a maintenance team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or a technical field.
- Experience with PLC programming, control systems, and power press operations.
- Background in Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
