Our award-winning client, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare services, is seeking an experienced Manager, Surgical Services RN to lead surgical operations at their Portland, OR location. This role is central to delivering high-quality, compassionate care while ensuring operational efficiency, team engagement, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily management and leadership of surgical service units, ensuring alignment with patient care standards and the organization’s mission.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality, operational efficiency, and team engagement.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to drive operational excellence and patient-centered care.
- Lead and mentor surgical services team members through direct oversight, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
- Manage resource allocation and staffing levels to meet patient care demands.
Required QualificationsEducation & Licensure:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school.
- Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Recent first-line management experience in surgical services or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven management experience in a clinical or surgical services setting.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to engage effectively with staff, patients, and medical teams.
