Position Overview

The Plant General Manager plays a critical leadership role, driving the overall success of the plant by overseeing operations, profitability, safety, manufacturing excellence, sales, and strategic planning. This position requires a proactive, visionary leader with a strong background in corrugated manufacturing and facility management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Profit & Loss Accountability

• Manage and take ownership of the plant’s profit and loss (P&L) performance.
• Align plant operations with corporate goals and adhere to budgetary targets.

2. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)

• Ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal EHS regulations.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

3. Manufacturing Excellence

• Oversee daily operations with a focus on optimizing throughput and cost reduction.
• Minimize waste and enhance maintenance practices.
• Ensure high-quality production and efficient inventory management.

4. Sales and Customer Engagement

• Work closely with the Sales Manager to set and achieve ambitious sales goals.
• Target key market segments and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

5. Strategic Planning

• Lead and contribute to business, marketing, and capital planning initiatives.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive sustainable growth.

6. Labor Relations

• Foster positive relationships with the workforce and support effective labor relations.
• Promote a collaborative and engaged work environment.

7. Human Resources

• Champion workforce engagement, diversity, and leadership development.
• Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, and employee satisfaction initiatives.

8. Financial Management

• Develop and manage plant budgets.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial controls and reporting standards.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

Education & Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in corrugated manufacturing (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Pay: Up to $206,000.00 per year
