Position Overview
This role provides comprehensive leadership and project oversight for industrial, heavy civil, and deep foundation projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget, while also developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage materials, equipment, and subcontractors for projects
- Establish project objectives, schedules, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company guidelines
- Oversee construction progress, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Identify and resolve potential issues proactively, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Represent the company in client meetings, labor negotiations, and strategy sessions
- Manage financial aspects of contracts, including profit and loss tracking, labor performance monitoring, and cost control
- Handle all correspondence with owners and subcontractors
- Ensure acceptable contractor performance ratings for each job
- Uphold and enforce safety policies and quality control standards
- Conduct post-project reviews and provide performance analysis to upper management
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises project superintendents, project coordinators, and all workers assigned to specific projects.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience in industrial, heavy civil, or deep foundation projects
- Minimum of five years supervising concrete projects as a project manager
- Minimum of seven years of experience in concrete construction
- Minimum of seven years overseeing all phases of heavy concrete construction
- Minimum of seven years reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications for industrial and heavy commercial concrete projects
