RN Labor & Delivery Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic RN Labor & Delivery Manager to lead the 24-hour operational management of the Labor & Delivery unit. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide 24-hour oversight for the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring seamless operations across all shifts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
- Champion high standards of patient care and safety, implementing best practices in labor and delivery.
Operational Oversight
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Develop and implement unit-specific policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and accreditation requirements, proactively addressing any concerns.
Collaboration & Patient Care
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
- Implement age-specific and patient-centered care strategies tailored to maternal health needs.
- Advocate for continuous quality improvement and innovative approaches in Labor & Delivery care.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (required).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery or a related specialty.
- At least 1-2 years of progressive leadership or management experience in a hospital setting.
Licenses & Certifications
- Active RN license in the State of Nevada (required).
- Current certifications in:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
