Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Administer medications, collect diagnostic specimens, and conduct patient assessments.
- Care Coordination: Work with physicians, specialists, and families to develop and implement care plans.
- Patient Monitoring: Track patient conditions and respond to critical changes.
- Daily Assistance: Support patients with hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate discharges, transfers, and referrals.
- Education & Advocacy: Provide patient/family education and advocate for patient needs.
Qualifications
Licensure:
- Active RN license in Kentucky or a Compact State.
- New graduates may work under a provisional Kentucky license for up to six months.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (must be obtained within 45 days of employment)
Experience:
- Acute care experience preferred (but not required for motivated candidates).
