Position Overview
Our distinguished client is seeking a dedicated Children’s Outpatient Therapist to join their mental health team. In this role, you’ll provide therapeutic support to children and families, with a focus on fostering emotional wellness, managing behavioral challenges, and creating individualized treatment strategies. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
Minimum of one year of experience in one or more of the following settings:
- Pediatrics
- Family medicine
- Adolescent behavioral health
Active licensure in the state of Michigan as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Limited License Psychologist (LLP)
- Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform intake assessments and document clinical findings
- Provide direct therapy services, including individual, family, and group interventions
- Develop safety and crisis intervention plans with clients and caregivers
- Support and advocate for families navigating mental health systems
- Participate in community engagement and represent the organization in public settings
- Maintain professional credentials and stay current with continuing education
- Engage in program evaluations and ongoing quality improvement efforts
Work Schedule
- Regular hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Must maintain at least 23 billable clinical service hours per week
- Schedule must include a minimum of 4 evening hours per week (after 5:00 p.m.), coordinated with your supervisor
Travel Expectations
- Occasional travel within the local area may be required

Eligibility and Requirements
- Must hold and maintain a valid Michigan license in good standing (no disciplinary action)
- Must qualify as a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) within 120 days of hire (per MDCH guidelines)
- Background checks and Central Registry clearance are required through MDHHS
