Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer
Our client is seeking a Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer to provide ultrasound services in various healthcare facilities, including nursing homes, home care settings, prisons, and other locations. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasounds, ensuring accurate communication, and managing patient care efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Transport: Safely transport and unload portable sonographic equipment to facilities for scheduled exams as ordered by physicians.
- Ultrasound Exams: Conduct and process general and vascular ultrasounds, ensuring the capture of diagnostically accurate images for radiologist interpretation.
- Documentation: Complete and scan all exam-related paperwork and billing daily as per protocol.
- Communication: Maintain professional and regular communication with team members, management, dispatch, and clients to ensure a smooth workflow.
Schedule:
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be registered with ARDMS (RVT), CCI (RVS), or ARRT (R.T.(VS)) for vascular ultrasound. Dual modalities such as General/Vascular or Echo/Vascular are highly desired.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Required. Proof of vaccination must be provided at the time of application.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Driver’s License: Must maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a copy upon request. Periodic license checks will be conducted.
Physical Demands:
- Equipment Handling: Must be able to lift and transport sonographic equipment bags weighing 18-20 pounds. Equipment is transported using a wheeled cart for distances of up to 250 feet, requiring an initial force of 10 pounds and sustained force of 5-8 pounds.
