Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Specialist, Program Financial Analyst to join our dynamic aerospace and defense team. This critical role involves managing financial operations for complex programs, ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management (EVM) standards, and providing actionable insights to drive program success. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity, enhance processes, and support decision-making on mission-critical programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program Financial Management:
- Manage and maintain EVM data across multiple programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with objectives.
- Conduct forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow evaluations on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Maintain and update Estimates at Completion (EAC) using SAP.
- Prepare and deliver Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMR) to stakeholders.
- Partner with Control Account Managers (CAM) to review and develop variance reports.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop and analyze financial reports to evaluate program and organizational performance.
- Perform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies while adhering to GAAP standards.
- Lead cost estimation and pricing for complex program proposals.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, collaborating with internal teams to implement enhancements.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing best practices in program financial management and analysis.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years with a Graduate degree.
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and tools.
- Advanced proficiency with COBRA, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred:
- Education: MBA or CPA certification.
- Experience managing financials for high-visibility defense programs.
- Familiarity with government contract types, including CPAF, CPFF, T&M, and FFP.
- Certifications such as PMP or EVMP.
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance.
