Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures following established clinical protocols to assist in accurate medical evaluations.
- Maintain and ensure high-level disinfection of ultrasound probes per department protocols.
- Support radiologists during biopsy and drainage procedures, ensuring procedural efficiency and patient comfort.
- Evaluate imaging results for clarity and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Apply expert knowledge of sonographic techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Exercise professional judgment in the delivery of patient care while adhering to medical and ethical guidelines.
- Monitor and assess patients throughout imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program and ARDMS registry eligibility.
- (Certification must be obtained within 9 months of hire) OR ARRT registry with an ultrasound credential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (must be completed within 30 days of hire).
- Strong technical proficiency in ultrasound equipment operation and image interpretation.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, radiologists, and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in imaging procedures.
