Janitor and Cleaner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial tasks and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain floor care through buffing and polishing as needed.
• Conduct industrial cleaning in designated areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Carry out custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adapting to the specific needs of each environment.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required, ensuring all areas are well-kept and functional.
• Provide porter services by transporting items as needed throughout the facility.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues to management promptly.
• Follow established safety protocols while performing cleaning duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing, is a plus.
• Ability to perform residential painting tasks as needed.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.24 - $14.71 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
