What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emt-B Emergency Division (Internal Applicants) position at Metro Care Ambulance?
We are pleased to offer a position in our new emergency division of Metro Care Ambulance. This division is primarily responsible for responding to calls for service for our acute and critically injured patients. This division is created to better support our own communities as well as support our area 911 agencies in need of additional resources.
Position Summary
Responds to emergency requests via ALS/BLS ambulance and provides Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed, transports sick or injured patients to the appropriate medical facility, and complies with state and local standards.
Location: 11111 E Mississippi Ave suite 163. Aurora Co 80012.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Colorado EMT - Basic with IV Endorsement Certification (Required)
- American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification for the BLS provider (Required)
- Valid driver's license with Clean driving record (Required)
- Maintaining a Driver License for at least 1 year (Required)
- 1 Year Minimum Experience working in EMS or combination of related field (Required)
- Submit to Drug Test and randomized drug testing throughout employment (Required)
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance in line with company uniform standards.
- Prompt attendance consistent with scheduled hours.
- Be respectful and courteous to healthcare professionals and patients, including being a patient advocate.
- Treat and transport patients in line with Denver Metro Protocols and industry best practices.
- Respond to calls in a timely manner, navigating to destinations by memory or with GPS software.
- Maintain contact with dispatchers via company phones and tablets.
- Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
- Use appropriate procedures to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
- EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
- Assist Field Supervisors with daily tasks and adhere to guidance provided by the ALS Truck Lead
Shift Hours
- Shifts are 12 hours
- A Shift: Monday and Tuesday
- B Shift: Wednesday and Thursday
- C Shift: Friday and Saturday
- D Shift: Sunday/Flex Shift *
Pay and Bonus Structure
- No Additional Pay for Providers in this Division
Hiring Process:
You must see a supervisor during shift to complete a written exam.
