Job Title: Residential Administrative Assistant

Summary:
Provide administrative support and customer service within the Residential Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Submit residential building permits to the City of Fort Worth.
- Complete all necessary building applications.
- Track plans throughout the permit process.
- Maintain all logs and requests for monies associated with permits.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Keep Residential manager informed of permit statuses.
- Manage time effectively.
- Present positive image and excellent customer service to the City and all clients.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide updates to clients as appropriate.
- Complete all applications and give to Residential Manager for plan review.
- Submit credit card requests to accounting after plan review is approved.
- Submit permit to the City.
- Update permit transactions log for all credit card charges; if fees were not paid, email accounting to void the payment.
- Upon permit issuance, download permit pack and send back to builder.
- Make blue cards.
- Download and save all permit records.
- Research pending permits at City.
- Export and save daily Noted Permit List.
- Make credit card requests for all payments.
- Verify all amounts builders have paid to Metro Code and that the amount coincides with charges from the City; request refunds from accounting for any overpayments.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
