Position: IT Manager | This position will be based in Sullivan, IL
The IT Manager is tasked with planning, directing, and coordinating the organization's information technology operations. They ensure that IT systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, maintaining hardware and software, improving network and cybersecurity, and implementing technology strategies to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives
· Supervise, train, and evaluate IT staff, including system administrators and support technicians
· Manage the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of computer systems, networks, servers, and software
· Ensure the security of data, networks, and systems by implementing cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery protocols
· Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
· Oversee helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues for employees and stakeholders
· Lead IT projects, such as system upgrades, software implementations, or cloud migrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope
· Create, share and maintain technical documentation, MOPS, and network diagrams as needed
· Ensure IT operations comply with industry regulations and standards
· Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
· Liaise with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and support services
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications like ITIL, PMP, CompTIA, or CISSP are a plus).
Experience/Skills:
· 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
· Proficiency in network administration, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, database management, and common operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
· Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
· Ability to work independently
· Sharp troubleshooting skills
Additional Notes:
· This is not a remote position. Candidates will be expected to work at the Sullivan, IL office Monday to Friday
