Janitorial Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor – Deep Cleaning Specialist to temporarily join our team for the thorough cleaning and sanitation of residence hall dorm rooms and common areas. This role requires expertise in deep cleaning techniques and maintaining a sanitary living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform deep cleaning of dorm rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring high sanitation standards.
• Remove mold, mildew, and other contaminants using appropriate cleaning agents and protective equipment.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs, light switches, and shared spaces.
• Sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
• Dispose of trash in designated areas.
• Assist in moving furniture or equipment as needed to complete cleaning tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous janitorial or deep cleaning experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Conditions:

• Work is performed indoors in dormitories and common areas.
• Flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends, may be required.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
