Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and packages to various locations while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, as well as the ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles. A background in warehouse operations and experience with pallet jacks and forklifts is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions with clients.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving items and organizing inventory.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Handle any issues or delays in delivery with professionalism and effective communication.
Experience
- Previous experience as a courier driver or in a similar delivery role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
