JOB SUMMARY: Metro Engineering Solutions, LLC ('MES') is looking for a Traffic Control Support Specialist to join our team! MES is a multifaceted utility and telecommunications engineering firm serving clients throughout the Midwest. The Traffic Control Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe flow of traffic in construction areas.
Duties And Responsibilities
Ability to implement proper control of traffic to ensure safety of road crew and public
Responsible for setting up and breaking down traffic control equipment
Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule, location, and shift changes.
Communicate with construction crews to coordinate traffic flow
Monitor traffic patterns and adjust controls as needed
Other duties as assigned by Project Manager.
Qualifications
High School diploma and/or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Minimum two (2) years applicable experience working with construction, engineering, or facilities maintenance.
Required to have satisfactory results on a Motor Vehicle Record check and maintain a valid driver's license.
OSHA confined space training certification preferred.
Ability to understand basic principles of public and private utilities.
Ability to learn and understand civil, structural, electrical, and communication systems and structures.
Compliance and knowledge of OSHA and site safety rules.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Primarily work outdoors, must be able to work in extreme heat and cold.
Regularly required to walk for long distances.

Compensation will commensurate with experience.
