JOB SUMMARY: Metro Engineering Solutions, LLC ('MES') is looking for an Transmission Engineer to join our team! MES is a multifaceted utility and telecommunications engineering firm serving clients throughout the Midwest. The Transmission Engineer is responsible for leading the design and coordination for all aspects of work related to transmisison design.

- Design of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
- Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings.
- Prepare specifications and project design criteria.
- Provide field support during construction.
- The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
- Experience in HVDC is a plus.
- Occasional travel to client and project locations will be expected.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
- Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.
- 3 years related transmission line design experience.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in scheduling and budgeting.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Consulting or utility experience preferred.
- Ability to travel and/or work in the field as needed.
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
