The Fire System Inspection Salesperson will primarily be responsible for conducting site surveys and selling Metro Fire services to potential customers. In addition, the salesperson will be responsible for attending networking events and will develop effective presentation strategies to sale work to new customers. The desired candidate has strong prospecting experience, is energetic and knowledgeable about fire prevention equipment, is always professional, is consistent, and is always looking out for the company and customer’s best interest.
Responsibilities
Generate sales leads through outbound in-person prospecting, cold calls, internal leads, and attend and participate in networking associations.
Conduct thorough and detailed site surveys to determine and identify what services the potential client needs, including fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire extinguisher, E-lights, fire hydrants, backflow, fire alarm monitoring, and kitchen hood system inspections.
Create and perform effective sales presentations and demonstrate an understanding of each client’s unique fire protection needs.
Generate and deliver quotes to potential clients in a timely manner.
Close sales through selling value and effectively advocating the benefits of hiring Metro Fire
Follow up on the fire inspections and help create repair bids that were generated from the inspection.
Maintain a book of business by following up and staying in contact with clients through the year and renewing the business as inspections come due.
Create and maintain database of new and potential clients.
Work with management on sales and marketing strategy
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Requirements :
Valid driver’s license
3 years prior sales work experience
1 years of fire inspection sales experience, preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Able to work flexible scheduling, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends to meet customer needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to effectively communicate and relate to a broad range of potential clients ranging from property owners to facilities technicians
Able to manage customer base and provide quality and consistent customer service
Able to quickly learn and use sales tracking software
Strong prospecting skills
Strong organizations skills / detail-oriented
Preferred
Knowledge of fire systems and tools
Knowledge of ProfitZoom, Building Reports, Compliance Engine, and Paylocity
Bilingual – able to speak Spanish
