We is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Kitchen Suppression System Technician. The Technician will be responsible for inspecting, installing and servicing kitchen fire suppression systems (hoods) from various manufactures. The Technician will be responsible for performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs and maintain complete and detailed inspection and repair documentation on all work performed. A desired candidate is reliable, thorough, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
Read and understand assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work for inspections and determine if additional information is needed
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with internal and external customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience
Troubleshoot several different fire suppressions systems
Follow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical/ parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment or systems
Partner with sales to grow and protect the service segment of our business
Maintain accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customers’ needs
Review and explain all work performed to customers
Stay current with code requirements and industry changes
Attend and complete all required safety training
Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day
Knowledge of NFPA code and non-conformance issues
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a day
Decent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, with little supervision
Knowledge of fire systems and tools
Organized, systematic and adherent to deadlines
Valid Driver’s License
High School diploma/ GED
Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekend to meet customer needs
Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Preferred
Two (2) years prior work experience
Knowledge working in ProfitZoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity
