As our Load Inspector/Scale House Operator, you will be interacting with customers, vendors, and other employees to inspect, and weigh scrap metal that is being brought into our yard. A typical day might include grading and inspecting customer's loads, prepping material to be shipped, organizing and sorting different grades, and communicating to the office staff on customer needs as applicable.

Responsibilities
- Inspect and sort various metals
- Check customer's scrap metal for anything that may be hazardous material
- Direct customers where to dump their scrap metal
- Communicate with heavy equipment operators and other team members to move scrap metal
- Provide exceptional customer service
- May be trained and asked to operate heavy equipment
- Other job duties as assigned by the manager
- 1 year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving skills and stellar organizational skills
- Attention to detail in order to recognize and sort materials not accepted by Metro Group
- Ability to exert up to 40 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
