Job Summary:
Support Producers and Managers in servicing and marketing commercial insurance accounts. Provide exceptional client service, facilitate renewal marketing, and act as a key resource for client support and retention. This role requires thorough knowledge of commercial coverages and a proactive approach to meeting client needs.
Service Responsibilities:
Market renewal business as needed to ensure clients receive the most comprehensive coverage and competitive pricing.
Process incoming policies, verify accuracy of paper and electronic files, and transmit policies promptly to clients.
Handle client requests efficiently and professionally, returning all calls and correspondence within the same business day.
Issue binders, certificates of insurance, evidences of insurance, and auto ID cards in accordance with agency guidelines.
Process endorsements within 24 hours of receipt.
Manage and follow up on all suspended items in accordance with agency procedures.
Invoice all agency-billed items accurately and timely.
Prepare and process premium finance agreements.
Document client interactions and service activities comprehensively in EPIC.
Present a professional, friendly demeanor to build strong rapport with clients and carriers.
Identify and act upon opportunities to "round out" client accounts by suggesting additional coverages or referrals to other departments (Personal Lines, Benefits, Life, etc.).
Prepare and present insurance proposals clearly via mail, phone, or in-person.
Finalize issuance of coverage and verify all documentation meets agency standards.
Qualifications:
Active California P&C Insurance license preferred or be willing to fast track to get.
Insurance broker/agency experience preferred or equivalency of handling Commercial accounts
Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating practices preferred or be a fast learner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in EPIC agency management system preferred as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook but willing to train the right person
Pay Transparency Range:
$60,000 to $70,000 range depending upon extent of P&C experience & proficiency in agency software or need of training.
This salary range represents an estimated low and high end for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and individual performance. Salary is just one component of Metro Insurance Service’s total compensation package.
