Mailroom Inserter – Newspaper Production
Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment? We are seeking Mailroom Inserters to join our team, working afternoon and evening shifts, including late nights, early mornings, and weekends. This is a great position to earn additional funds on the weekend including college students looking for extra income!
The current shift we are looking to fill will be a 10-12 hour shift, typically Thursdays from 3 PM-1 AM.
This role is essential in ensuring newspapers are accurately assembled and prepared for distribution. If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with physical work, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load preprinted materials into the insert machine hopper.
- Monitor the machine to prevent double inserts or skips, ensuring all newspapers receive the correct materials.
- Remove and stack completed bundles (weighing 10 to 50 lbs.) for the next stage of processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including clearing paper waste and other materials.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move bundles weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills to monitor and adjust inserting and collating equipment as needed.
- Safety Awareness: Work safely in a production setting with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery in operation.
- Reliability & Flexibility: Consistent availability for assigned shifts and ability to adapt to changing work assignments.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
